Bravo-Wilder History from SVS Wilder's 6th Gr Grandson
RE: Bravo-Wilder History from SVS Wilder's 6th Gr Grandson Congratulations on your impeccable research, web site, and outreah to Wilder's and Relations everywhere! The Wilder connection to France continues as I am a past President of the Massachusetts LaFayette Society and remain on its board. Through this organization my wife Nelie from Versailles France and I have become good friends with the 6th Generation Grandson of Lafayette- the Count Gilbert de Pusy Lafayette and his wife and three children. We are both the same age. A few years ago we hosted a reception with the then owner's of the Wilder Mansion at Bolton with Gilbert as had transpired in 1824. In addtion, we have worked with the Worcester Art Museum, as they have the Haines Branch of the Families' Wilder Painting byt renowned artist John Vanderlyn. We worked with them on a CD narrative on his life through a grant in addition to other paintings at the museum. We should all compare notes/exchange inform

quick question
Hi Jim, Been trying to find out a little about the family history. I was thinking about purchasing "Book of the Wilders". From what I understand this book is about the decendants of brothers Thomas and Edwards? My question is, do you have any idea what percentage of American Wilders descended from that pair? Just trying to decide if it is worth the money to find out if my family may have come from that line. thanks, richard richard wilder
