Wilder Lineage
Hi, I too have been searching out our family tree. I have connected with Terry Fletcher in England who has done an immense amount of work. He is my 4th cousin. He has our tree back to John Wilder ... Leigh On Sea England, died 1795. My dad James Ashman Wilder was born 1906 in Leigh on Sea. I wonder if your branch and mine are connected some how. Judy Judy Olson (nee... judith anne wilder)

I would like to know if we are related.
My father James E. wilder was born in AL. IN 1940. He had 5 children: Mary,John,Tina, Chris and I which we are twin's. My mother's name is Judy Wilder who also was born in AL. in 1940. I heard stories from my late grandfather John L. Wilder, that we go back to England and King Arthur, but not sure about King Arthur. He did have chair's that looked very old and that were red, ancient looking and an old mace weapon on the wall. It seemed like he had the same Wilder flag on his wall that is the symbol of your family. Thank you so much. If you would get back in touch with me soon I would really appreciate it. P.S. I live in Brandon, MS. Paul Wilder Paul Edward Wilder

my Great Grandmother - FERN WILDER
Hi, just wanted to say thanks for the website on the wilders. my great-grandmother was FERN WILDER, who lived in Gregory, SD many years and her brother's name was HARRY WILDER, who lived in Sheridan, OR. I do not know who their parents were, however, my maternal grandmother, Mary Evelyn Rasmussen (Sherwood) traced the family roots back to Almanzo Wilder. We're related by marriage to Laura Ingalls Wilder. Marsha K Brumbaugh

Wilder question
Hi Jim, My husband is Ronald Wilder, descended from Martha Wilder who came to America in 1638. My daughter, Lacy Wilder, would like to know if she is related to Almanzo Wilder who was married to Laura Ingalls Wilder (author). Any insight? Thanks, Hardin Engelhardt Hardin Engelhardt

Wilder connection
Have researched my husband's immigrant ancestors and his 6th great grandfather, Israel Fearing, married Elizabeth Wilder in 1673 in Hingham, MA., the dau. of Capt. Edward and Elizabeth (Eames) Wilder. The Fearing line descended from John who came to America in th 1630's. Thanks for the great pictures. Marian Cox Fearing

Hello cousin
Hello, My Grandma Frances Ziolkowski (Wildey) did some research back in the early to mid-eighties on the Wilder family, and for curiousity's sake I did a search on the family coat of arms and came up with this. I'm from the Michigan branch and would love to find out more. Thank you, Forrest Klott Grand Rapids Mi Forrest

Coat of arms
My stepmother, Margaret Farmer Bonnin Winger, is from the Wilder line. She is 93, living in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA. She was fascinated by your website and the info I found for her. She wonders if she can get a copy of the Wilder coat of arms. Is that possible? Thanks. I can give you her address if you want to contact her. Christine Abresch

Thank you
After my first e-mail I took a tour through your site. Thank you for the wonderful photos of Nunhide, Sulham, etc. It brought to life what has only been read in microfilms, books and hours of faded documents. They were exactly what any Wilder researcher would enjoy finding. John's brother, Thomas the Immigrant, was my ancestor. Thank you again for all the work. Submitted By: Melanie Wilder

The Women
Dear cousin Jim, This is wonderful!!!! Besides The Wilder Book and supplements this will be a great help. I've been researching the women who married into my line (because they were just as important in shaping who we were) and a majority of the time you were more sure of who she was then the father, but probably just my opinion. My great grandmother was Elizabeth FitzRandolph and if The LDS system is truly verifiable then that lineage is very interesting although not in direct line to any thrones or such, but able to trace back quite far. So check out the women too. :) Submitted By: Melanie Wilder
