The WILDER Book
Relative Jim, I received this information you shared via another Wilder relative, James Wilder. I was elated t osee what you shared. I have always thoguht about visiting the Sulham House in Cheshire County. We received an invite from the young Wilder family residing there back a few years ago. I have been to a couple of the Wilder re-unions, to include the one in Wilder Vermont which was organized by the late Harold Wilder. Are you aware of THE BOOK OF THE WILDERS, Edwin M. Wilder, M.D.? If not, yo ucan access and purchase an authentic hard bound copy, from Justin Wilder, at bookofthewilders.com. I owned a copy which I purchased along wit hmy dad and a couple of siblings back in 1971. It was not in a hardbound book at the time. Since then, Justin has cleaned it up and he and his son have made it available at cost for $59. each. Check it out. The original was the work of Moses Hale Wilder who was one of 12 children, here in Winchendon, MA. I fall under the Thomas Line.

Family?
Hi Jim. Just doing random searches and came across your site. I immediatly recognized the Coat of Arms as it is hanging in my grandparents home in Hillsborough, NC. My grandfather is James Woodrow Wilder. He is now in his 90's. He married Sarah Annie Holsomback. She passed away a few years ago but her family had ties to the Duke family tree. I really enjoyed going through the site and may be able to supply more information and pictures from this side of the Wilder family. I look forward to putting the pieces together to fill in my geneology. Submitted By: Sarah Lynn Wilder Thomas

Thank you!
Dear Wilder Cousins, My name is Misty and I am 22 years old. I am so grateful for this site. I am the youngest of my family and very interested in my family heritage. My grandfather has been showing me pictures of my ancestors and reading me the Book of Wilder's since I was a little girl. We have a sky picture of the estate in Sulham from the early 1900's I believe, so I have always wanted to go there. Fortunately, I am able to go next year and visit everything. Thanks to your pictures I have a more updated idea of what it looks like. Sincerely, Misty Wilder California Submitted By: Misty Wilder

James 'Leander' Wilder
I just found your neat site. I thought I would add the name of my g-grandfather, JAMES 'LEANDER' WILDER, born 1820, Cattaraugus County, NY. I have had no luck finding his parents. Leander married Susanna LOUDON 1843 in Coshocton County, OH. They moved to Tippecanoe County, IN, where most of their 13 children were born. After Susanna died Leander moved to St. Joseph County, IN and remarried, and died after 1882 in that area. I have his tombstone picture and data, but no dates on it. If anyone is at all familiar with him I would certainly appreciate hearing. Shirley at popper@centurytel.net Submitted By: Shirley Schlechte
